Join in the forest festivities this Christmas at Itchen Valley. For just £3 children can explore our woodland trail and guess the popular songs depicted on the wooden lanterns. The festive trail is fun for all the family, and each trail pack includes a small gift.

🧵 In February, come along and learn how to use wood burning tools and ideas swap
Wildlife Drypoint Print Workshop with Kate Watkins
🎨 This 2.5 hour workshop is for people who are beginners or experienced at drawing. The technique of Dry point uses a combination of tracing and mark making with an etching needles onto plastic plates to create wildlife images.
🎴Several versions of the design are then printed using etching ink and a printing press allowing you to experiment with adding colour and you will have a small edition of prints to take home. It is ideal for beginners or those experienced at drawing. All images and materials will be provided.

ABBA by Moonlight’s faithful recreation of ABBA’s signature harmonies and iconic looks makes for one electrifying live performance. Expect to hear all the greatest hits, including Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Waterloo and many more!
Decked out in full disco costume, ABBA by Moonlight combines stunning vocals, talented live musicians, and a uniquely beautiful outdoor setting to make one unforgettable concert.
Come along with family and friends, picnic in picturesque surroundings before grabbing your dancing shoes and get ready for the party of a lifetime at Itchen Valley Country Park.

Please bring your own rugs or low-backed seating. Refreshments will be available to purchase on the night. If you are travelling by car, we encourage you to car share where possible, parking is included in the cost of your ticket
Outdoor performances will continue in all but the worst of weather, be sure to dress accordingly. All tickets are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation due to exceptionally bad weather or other extenuating circumstances alternative arrangements shall be made. For carer ticket enquiries please contact us. Join our festive outdoor event and enjoy a singalong of popular Christmas songs accompanied by Joyful Sounds Choir and Otterbourne Brass Band. Bring your own lantern or make one in our workshop ready for the parade!

Celebrate the magic of Christmas with your local community and join us for an early evening of festivities with Joyful Sounds Choir and Otterbourne Brass The Woodland Café will be open late serving a selection of hot drinks and mince pies to get you in the festive mood.
Final Furlong Fizzbox will also be with us serving you festive treats including craft beers, spirits and ciders from independent producers across Hampshire throughout the evening.
You’ll have the chance to participate in our Christmas lantern parade! You can bring your own lantern or make your own in one of our workshops.

Quilling for Improvers with Irene Collins
This session, led by Irene Collins, will build on from the basic coils in her previous workshop to a side looping technique to create beautiful Christmas designs.
Participants will be able to craft one item of their choice either a snowflake tree hanging or card, or a poinsettia flower card or decorative box.
Previous experience of quilling is advised but beginners are welcome too.

🧙♀️ Join your family and friends this Halloween to wander our woodlands from dusk into darkness…but remember, the darker it gets, the spookier it gets…
🗲 What’s included in my ticket?
Family Friendly Fright Night Trail: Step into our woods with a self-led trail and solve clues to discover the ghoulish message from the other side! Our forest will come alive with real-life spooks, so keep your eyes peeled; hiding in the forest are spooktacular performers from Steamship Circus!
(Please note: this is a unique trail, separate from our day-time Spooky Spells half-term Halloween trail).
Marshmallow toasting and spooky courtyard games! Head to our Marketplace to try your hand at children’s games and sweet treats!
Fang-tastic food
Treat yourself to some fang-tastic food this Halloween! Vibrant Forest Brewery will be onsite offering you a selection of special n spooky brews or two! Fire and Rocket Catering will be onsite serving a selection of fang-tastic pizza, and our well loved Woodland Café will be open serving hot drinks from the cauldron throughout the evening too.

🦇 It’s spooky season and the craft team at Itchen Valley are welcoming you to their cosy new community room with a chance to create some Halloween pine cone bats!
🎨 A workshop to get your little ones imagination going, we will make several bats using pine cones and card!

🥾 Natural History Author, John Wright returns to the park this autumn to lead two educational fungi foray’s through our ancient woodlands. Each two-hour walk will culminate in a labelled display of the specimen’s found.
🔎 Whether you're a seasoned mycologist or a curious beginner, these walks offer a unique opportunity to learn about the diverse species of mushrooms and fungi that thrive in our natural surroundings.
📖 John has written 9 books on foraging through England’s beautiful landscape, so bring your inquisitive minds and curious questions! John is eager to share tips and insights, making this a perfect event for enthusiasts of all levels.
